The office of Orientation, Transition & Parent Programs has student leadership opportunities that can help you grow as a student, mentor, and leader. Check out the positions listed below! Through these experiences, you will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills, be a part of fun and interactive learning, give back to the UB Community, and meet other students hoping to do the same.


Orientation Leaders

Position Description: Orientation Leaders (OL) are undergraduate students who work for Orientation, Transition, and Parent Programs to assist with summer orientation programs for first-year students, transfer students, and their parents & family members. OL's serve as mentors and share their experience as successful students with incoming first-year and transfer students. OL's will also help parents and families support their students in making a successful transition to the University at Buffalo.

Transfer Ambassadors

Position Description: Transfer Ambassadors are current undergraduate students who have successfully transferred to the university and serve as role models and sources of support to new transfer students. Throughout the fall and spring semesters, Transfer Ambassadors help to ease the transition of new students to UB by sharing their experiences as successful students through email, in-person at events across campus, and by attending Transfer Tuesday programs.

Applications for 2017-2018 Transfer Ambassadors will be available by February 2017.
